Can I use spool gun with Double Pulse MIG Welder?
A spool torch is essentially a MIG torch with the spool mounted directly on the torch itself.
That means you’ll be holding the whole thing all day. It might not sound like that much weight, but a spool torch starts to feel heavy after an hour or so compared to a MIG torch. Most people don’t need to use it.
So we list this function as optional, and we can also provide it if customers need it. Of course, this will have a MOQ requirement -

Is Double Pulse MIG worth it ?
Double Pulse MIG offers fast, high quality, low spatter and consistently great looking welds, with better thermal control vs. conventional MIG welders. Pulse MIG is best known as a great process for welding aluminium, however it is also an excellent process for welding with stainless-steel.

+ -
Do you have AC welders?
Most of our welders are DC, compared to AC welding, DC tends to have a smoother welding output, less spatter, and a more stable arc.

What is the difference between MIG and Pulse MIG?
Pulse MIG is a modified version of the MIG welding process that allows for greater control over the welding process. In Pulse MIG , the welding current is cycled between a high peak current and a lower background current. The peak current is used to melt the metal, while the background current maintains the arc and allows the weld pool to cool slightly before the next pulse. This cycle is repeated rapidly, typically several hundred times per second.
The main difference between MIG and Pulse MIG is that Pulse MIG allows for greater control over the heat input to the weld, which can lead to better control of the weld bead profile, reduced spatter, and less distortion. Additionally, Pulse MIG can be used to weld thin materials that might be more difficult to weld with traditional MIG welding machine due to the potential for burn-through or warping.
Overall, Pulse MIG is a more advanced and sophisticated form of MIG welding machine that offers greater control over the welding process, but requires more skill and experience to use effectively. -

Can I use my ALPHA welder on the generator ?
Yes, we can.
While the welder may operate OK on lower output etc – the fact remains that using an underpowered generator does increase the risk of damage to the welder. -

What is Hot Start, Arc Force & Anti-Stick?
What is Hot Start ?
Hot Start is a special feature for MMA (stick-electrode) welding where the machine delivers a peak of current when striking the arc. This is important as it significantly increases the ease of starting electrodes, especially in difficult conditions such as damp electrodes, imperfect job surface, or when using ‘difficult to run’ electrodes, etc.
What is Arc Force ?
Arc Force, sometimes called “Dig” or “Arc Control”, is a similar feature to Hot Start, except Arc Force operates during welding, not just at ignition. When the welding machine senses a short circuit it will deliver a peak of current. This greatly assists in stabilizing the arc, preventing the arc from cutting out while welding and preventing electrode sticking.
What is Anti-Stick ?
Anti-Stick allows the stick welding electrode to be easily detached, if it does begin to stick to the job. When the machine senses that the electrode is sticking, it will collapse the welding current to stop the electrode from continuing to weld itself to the job, allowing it to break free easily. -
